Our Story

Passionate about people, property and professionalism.

Stanford Aranui may not come from a traditional building background, but he has a level of training your average building inspector may not.

Having completed a Level 6 Diploma in Building Surveying and on his way to becoming one of only 200 Registered Building Surveyors in New Zealand, Stan not only has a deep understanding of building construction but holds vast knowledge of the changing rules and regulations, codes of compliance, materials, and specifications, all while keeping up to date with the building industry and emerging technologies.

Stan’s study gave him access to a wide variety of experts in their fields, and he gained extensive knowledge from building remediation professionals, forensic investigators, scientists, weather-tightness experts, material manufacturers, and materials testing experts who brought their skills and lifelong expertise to the table. All of this vital information helps Stan identify potential faults and issues with any house built in any era.

But it’s not only knowledge where Stan excels. Stan listens to his clients to find out what it is you are really concerned about and will provide a particular focus on that, as well as an overarching outstanding service. And as a father of a young family, Stan knows how important it is to have a home that is healthy for your whānau, where your tamariki can feel safe and be well – so he will report on anything that could be a risk factor.

“I like making a difference. One of the best parts of my job is when a family comes to me. I know what they are thinking of their house; they’re thinking about the kids running around the yard, they’re thinking of the movie nights in front of the fire in the lounge – so I stand as this kind of gatekeeper who can help make it all happen while safeguarding the family.”
